This is great. Sometimes I felt like there should have been a couple of frames in between (e.g. when the character jumping, it isn't perfectly fluent), but otherwise, it's a really good tribute to the original animation.

I think it's awesome. A great model, nice cell shading. I wasn't sure about the pitch-black colour (because you can't add any more 'shadow' if you needed to), but after looking at 'RWBY Grimm', it looks like it would fit right in.
Although, in my opinion, the minotaur moves too much during its idle animation; but he might move like this if he's about to fight someone soon after.
By the way, this section is meant more for proper, longer animations; for short loops like this, the Art portal would be better (you can post GIFs there, as you did with the 'ProtoHunter Cannon', although that GIF doesn't loop properly).
Yeah, I agree with the pitch black thing you mentioned. If you look at my sketchfab model of this guy, you can see I do have texture for him, but when I rendered this blender, for some reason it did not use the texture. Here it just rendered as void black.
Also, thanks for letting me know about the video thing. I'm new to newgrounds, I'll make sure I pick the right format.
Thanks for the Feedback.
Now that definitely looks promising!
August, is it? I'll look forward to the complete short film.
I feel like it is a slightly odd choice of music in the second part of the trailer, but that's fine. It isn't really wrong and matches the editing perfectly.
Good luck!
It's pretty good, although it might be better with more contrasting colours (the armour is roughly the same as the background). It also might be better suited for the Art portal (which supports GIFs), as this is hardly a movie.
It's pretty good as far as the art and animation go, but otherwise, I don't really know where you're going with this in the final version (haunted house?), so there's not much to talk about. The sound of the wooden floorboards is maybe too loud (which will be quite distracting especially if you later add another sounds, voices or music to this scene).
The walk cycle seems somewhat mechanical (the arms don't move and the head moves only a little). Perhaps this might help a bit: https://youtu.be/2y6aVz0Acx0
ye 1st animation on toon boom, not an excuse but not bad for one day of learning and jimmy is the world I'm building. I learn by doing so when it comes to the sounds I put them in a place holder to save time witch I can already see was a mistake
most of the toon boom animation stuff is very gatekeeper never tell you to the point so im just throwing things and seeing how the program works thanks for the advice :D
(just learned how to build a rig so trying to make that work wish me luck )
It's quite good! The animation is really fluent and lively; I can tell it took a lot of work.
Although it's a pity it hasn't got much of a plot (e.g. like Animation vs Animator) – the stickman simply shows some moves and then leaves. It'd be more interesting with some goal the stickman tries to accomplish and a proper conclusion.
Also, it'd be cool to see it interact with the environment, not just the paper and your hand (e.g. unroll the duct tape to build a bridge).
Well, until the last second, the story isn't anything profound or gripping, but I love your choice of a medium. I haven't seen a flipbook in years, and this one has quite fluent animations and even sounds – truly great.
And I did not expect the ending twist.
I like it!
Although it feels more like an intro to something than a complete piece, the colourless style and overall eerie atmosphere was really nice. By the way, right now it's night here and I'm sitting alone next to a window, so thanks, really… :)
Perhaps scarier than the monster was hearing the voice for the first time, because it's quite louder than the initial background music, so it caught me by surprise.
Bottom line, it's interesting and I hope to see more.
Thanks! I'll look into lowering the voice volume down a bit - thanks for pointing that out!
I have some pretty cool ideas I think for shorts that are a little longer - I defs wanna do more :-D
